Significant performance improvements to the Turbosmooth, Morpher, and Skin modifier. The ability to save material libraries back to previous versions of Max. Improved File Merge performance A new Zoom Extents on Isolate mode. When exiting from Isolate Mode, 3ds Max will return to the previous Zoom level in the Viewport. Support for Alembic 1.8.3 Improvements to the Chamfer modifier including an enhanced retriangulation algorithm that reduces the chance of long and thin edges, or misaligned edges from occurring and potentially causing visual distortions on the geometry. V-Ray 6 beta announced

Hình ảnh
Chaos has announced a beta version of V-Ray 6 for 3ds Max is now available for testing. This release sees several interesting new features including a real-time clouds system that works with the existing sun and sky tools to create more interesting procedural skies without the need for HDRIs. This release also includes the enigmatically named VrayEnmesh Modifier which allows the user to coat a surface with geometry instead of a texture. Unlike instancing, there is no extra memory used for the repeating geometry which means you can have billions of polygons without any impact on memory consumption. Talking of Instancing, for the first time V-Ray 6 will include Chaos Scatter, the new improved scattering tool that was introduced recently to Corona Version 8. A new mode is added to the V-Ray Dome light called Finite dome. It allows users to fine tune the ground projection using 3 new parameters: Radius, Projection height, and Ground blend. There are also improvements to V-Ray Proxie...

D5 Render 2.2.1 released

Hình ảnh
D5 Render has released a new version of its real-time raytracing renderer. The biggest improvement of version 2.2.1 is the improvement of quality in final rendered frames thanks to a significantly optimised anti-aliasing algorithm. In addition, the noise problem previously seen in reflections on glass has been fixed, and frosted glass materials have also been improved. This release also sees a large number of new assgmaets added to the built-in library, including over 100 wall and roof tile materials, water materials, basic shapes, character models, and more. In addition, the facial expressions and animations of human models have been optimised. Source:  https://blog.superrendersfarm.com/news/d5-render-2-2-1-released/
